Day Care

SRV LITTLE STEPS Daycare program includes preschool and post that a nap time, meals and evening activities. Learning is a dynamic process which occurs throughout the day, thus the child needs to be engaged in meaningful, playful and joyful learning experiences. The Day care program has been carefully designed for children from the age of 9 Months+ such that the child is constructively engaged and involved in different explorations before returning to their parents.

Day Care

HighScope classrooms follow a predictable sequence of events known as the daily routine. This provides a structure within which children can make choices, follow their interests, and develop their abilities in each content area.

CHOICE TIME

Choices given to children always helps in honing their decision-making expertise in our day care program.
At this time of the day children are given both, the choice and the suitable stuff to choose from and play with.
Children focus on what they can generate and how they can use their skills to transform an easy teaching aid or a toy into an invention.
This is the time of the day when we can observe children creating empty carton boxes into farms and old clothes into robes.

SMALL-GROUP TIME

To spot the individual strengths and challenges, a small group is a prerequisite for being child-centric.
Here, children gather in small group and interact with the teachers while they are being closely observed and scaffolded to do the activities.
This time of the day delivers the child a safe space to communicate and express what they hold back due to inhibitions in a larger setting.
The scope of day care educational activities here range from tracing letters, playing number games,

LARGE-GROUP TIMES

Children intake the principles of participating in a team and building sections best in a larger group setting.
Here, children meet in a large group with their classmates and teachers to engage in different day care activities.
From taking turns, to taking lead and synchronizing with the team, here children build upon their social skills.
The extra-curricular activities here range from music, group recitals, dance to story narrations, puppet shows and much more.

OUTSIDE TIME

In this day care daily schedule for kids, children apprehend best when exposed to environment and physically evolve beyond the walls of the classroom.
Given to the climate, children along with the teachers spend almost half an hour each day in the outdoor area.
Children not only get to observe nature but also the most important lessons of life are learnt here like climate, sun, clouds etc.
Children can be seen here, engaged in different physical activities along with honing their senses.

TRANSITION TIMES

This time of the day assists in forming a scheduled routine for the children. With a consistent daily routine child know what is going to take place next.
Under day care curriculum, transitions are the gaps between other blocks of the day, like arrival to choose time or outdoor to small group time.
Whenever possible, children are given choices on how to make the transition. For example, they may choose how to move across the floor on their way to small-group time
